Turn Off Your Wifi/Bluetooth - Turning off various connection such as Wifi and Bluetooth will help you save your battery
How To Turn Off or Disable Wifi / Bluetooth on iOS7
Open Control Center by swiping up from the bottom of the screen. If the icon is grayed it means its being turned off. For iOS 6 you can turn them off from your Settings.

Utilize Airplane Mode - If you don't have or Low cellular network coverage , the iOS device is tries to find the network continuously. Your battery will drain quickly than usual.
